I live with my four children and hubby of 17 years in rural USA. I teach in a small school from August to early May. In the summer, we are busy with 4-H, swimming, and summer sports.

My mom taught me to sew when I was a preteen and I hated it (I think a stubborn Singer added to the hate). I started once I had my oldest daughter and my mom had purchased a much more cooperative sewing machine. I eventually bought a used Viking (like my mom's) and eventually added a Pfaff, 2 sergers, and a coverstitch machine to the list of toys. I enjoy sewing clothes, quilting, and swapping. I think my quilting skill level and the number of new techniques that I have tried has slowly increased through swapping.
