These photos represent a few thousand courageous individuals who came from all over this country to see to it that our voices are heard; to let people know that we are willing to live on the streets in downtown New York City- enduring hunger and the cold and the rain AND EVEN THE SNOW- as a means to communicate our disgust for the way Wall Street is controlling public policy both domestically and abroad in ways that ruin lives, drive honest people from their homes, deny the sick and dying medical care if it isn't economically viable, enslave millions with debt, by aggressive advertising campaigns that attack our sense of self-worth for not being able to afford their useless products, and by selling off our democracy to the highest bidder. We are bringing the fight to their doorstep on their turf by disrupting the daily goings-on in this area by marching and blocking traffic and making the police set of barricades to keep us out of the Stock Exchange; and to endure arrest and violence at the hands of the state forces that these companies rely on to put down the voices of those who have the courage to speak out against their policies and practices that bring untold poverty and suffering and DEATH to the vast majority of the people who inhabit this planet!
