I've been interested in photography for a while but not always had the best of cameras. Finally in May 2012 I got a Canon EOS 1100D and had more time to practice as all of my children were at school from Sept 2012. I've got 4 lenses, the kit lens, a 50mm, a 100mm macro lens & an 18-200mm.

I love taking macro pictures and abstract architecture, but I'm experimenting with lots of different things (some more successfully than others!).

I hope you enjoy looking. I really appreciate all your comments including constructive criticism as this will help me improve.

A note on contacts, comments and favourites.

Personally, I prefer to have quality contacts who I interact with regularly. Please understand that I only have a finite amount of time to keep up with them regularly. Please do not take offence if I do not mark you as a contact in return. I try to comment on people's work who have visited my photostream, but sometimes there is just not enough time to devote to Flickr. If you comment (& favourite) you're much more likely to get a comment back rather than just favourite. I wish I could get to you all!
