I've always just loved taking photographs. My first pride and joy being a Kodak Ektra 200 110. I loved this little marvel. So easy to use & that magical anticipation going to collect my masterpieces from Birkenhead High Street. When I was 17 I got my (special) 18th birthday present prematurely ahead of a holiday to the USA. My first 'proper' grown-up camera; a Chinon CE4, soon to be replaced by a Pentax ME Super, then a Canon AE-1, wow!
In early adulthood I tinkered with b&w darkroom processing - My very first house on Industry St, Sheffield, had a coal cellar which froze during those long winter, Sth Yorkshire nights, provided me with a secret den to indulge my passion.
The advent of digital & desk-top image processing meant I just had to break the bank and purchase a Minolta DiMAGE 7i with it's 5 megapixel CCD - I shelled out the best part of a £1,000 for this beauty (& a £100 for the 1Gb compact flash!) This was like 'magic' & meant many hours on my 1st desk-top flitting between Lara Croft, e-jay & PaintShop Pro!
Now? Indulging those passions ain't quite so easy; work and family life - you know how it goes....... But it's there. And it'll never go away........
