March 2006
Semi retired, I think of myself as a bushwalker. I am
learning to take photos and have inherited a Canon 10D when my husband upgraded to 5D. I use the Canon 50mm 1.4lens to discover bokeh effects.I have been photographing flowers for a month now.
April 2006
My husband has given me a Sigma 18-125 mm F3.5-5.6 as a walkabout lens. I am trying to photograph people and portraits. So the posts are currently pretty elementary until I improve.
May/June
We went to Europe for 45 days. In the process I took more than 1800 photos; a lot of practice holding the camera, a time of trial and error , and some great shots.
July
I did not touch the camera for a whole month. There must be such a thing as photography fatigue. I recovered - finally took 3 photos on 31 July.
August
01/08/06, yes I am back. Today I started to use the Sigma 180 mm 3.5 APO MACRO DG
10/08/06. Took some photos with a new prime lens, Canon 100 mm f 2.8. Very sharp and easy to focus.
Thanks for taking the time to view the photos and comment. It is very encouraging.
