As a photographer I love to take still-life and abstract images. It allows me to take the inanimate object and turn it into a work of art. Working with objects is quite enjoyable because of the ease at which they can be arranged and manipulated to form artistic displays. When I take photographs, I strive for high contrast and intense shapes. I utilize repetition, and I prefer a shallow depth of field. As a child I was interested in photography. Each family vacation I was given a disposable camera with around 21 shots that I would ration throughout the course of the vacation. Because of such limitations, my enthusiasm for photography waned; however now, in this past year with access to high quality cameras, I have found a new, greater passion for photography.
