Photography has been my passion and obsession for around 22 years. The first camera i used was an SLR that i frankly don't recall the name, with one 50mm lens, and manual focus. My mom received it as a gift, and passed it later on to me , as she noticed my interest in it.

So having a manual-focus SLR was not bad as a beginning

I later on purchased a Canon compact 38-115 mm film-camera, that survived almost 10 years.

My first digital camera was also a Canon A610, and this one made me tweak, refine, and train myself immensely on photo-shooting.

Noticing the limitations i have with the Canon A610, i stepped into the rather cheap, but turned out to be not so bad, the Sony A200, that i still have.

I later on purchased two additional lenses : the Minolta 70-210 mm F4.5-5.6, and the Minolta 50mm F1.7.

I am so eager to buy more professional gear, such as a flash unit, a tripod, umbrellas, but i feel that unless i do get some money in return from my hobby by owning a studio for instance, going very professional is not necessary. What i currently possess is not that enough, but it does the job quite well.
