I like taking pictures. Now my daughter has given me a pro account on flickr (Thanks, K!) my camera clicking will probably develop into a poster-sized obsession.

Flickr is amazing. It allows us to have a brief glimpse of unique moments in locations all over the world - places and times that we cannot visit in person, but are privileged to see because of the generosity of people who share their photographs. Thanks, flickarians.

I don't always have time to respond to comments but if you visitors leave a comment for me I do appreciate it, and I try to return the visit and reciprocate by leaving a comment for you.

My camera is a point-and-shoot, a Canon PowerShot A720IS. It replaces the reliable PS A510 that served me so well for three years.

Looking at the Favorite photographs I have chosen from the work of other photographers on flickr I see that I admire symmetry in built landscapes and in natural forms, and that two seems to be my favourite number.
