I remember when Don first joined Flickr, he wrote and asked me to kind of "show him the ropes". Well, he took to Flickr like a duck takes to water. Went out and made friends and kept us all entertained by his wit and awesome photos. When Don first started posting, his photos were nice; but now they're looking so professional and his outside the box approach is most interesting. He is a great family man and a wonderful Father which makes him an even more special human being. Glad you sent that email to me, Don--it's my pleasure to know you and call you a friend.

DK is a great photographer with many wonderful and fun ideas and yes, even games. Not to mention he has a gift for words that will impress even the best of writers. Finding DK here on Flickr has been a joy and blessing. In his very busy schedule of work and family, he still shares photos of the sweet town he lives in and the beautiful gardens from his home and where he visits when time allows him get away. The one thing that I love is his strong hope and love for his children. Just the joy of seeing him teach his son to use the camera will tell you that he has more talent than he is showing. After knowing DK these past years, I have realized that he has a heart of gold and is a wonderful example of friendship to never be taken for granted and nourished with care, the same nourishment of water to a rose. Think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was I had such friends. -William Butler Yeats It is an honor to know you DK and the joy that you spread to others will never be forgotten.
