Retired.

I enjoy the challenge of photographing birds - although I struggle to identify all but the most obvious! I like things that catch my eye but rarely have any plan for a shot - I just go and see what crops up and what appeals, and, well, looks "right". I rarely photograph people.

I'm not a techie and can only post process to the most basic of levels - the instruction manuals remain largely unread.

Unimpressed with flashy copy and paste comments - although I appreciate the thought that one of my images has been enjoyed by someone.

I like to keep my number of contacts to below 200 and will occasionally "cull" any that have not posted for a couple of months or more - apologies if you've been away on a long trip!

Similarly, I rarely reciprocate new contacts who have thousands of contacts themselves or who have not commented or favourited any of my images - but there are occasional exceptions.

Needless to say, I do not want any of my images used without permission.

Jeff and I have been Flickr friends for almost a year now. In this time, I have learned so much from this dear man. Jeff's vision and love for photograpy is evident in every image he shares. His love of nature is what gets me every time. I love his bird portraits and his focus to details. I am a sucker for macros and Jeff has some really fine ones. Jeff is, also, a loyal friend. He visits often and always leaves praise and encouragement in the comments. He has a cheerful and upbeat disposition (another thing I could learn from him). I am honored and grateful to call him my friend. -Erin / LEFTY598
