I'm an extremely visual person. I can sit and watch a scene/people/animals for hours and be completely enthralled. Being able to capture some of these moments with my camera makes me feel alive and fulfilled. Capturing pictures also forces me to REALLY see the world in a different perspective/light (no puns intended) and my creative side thrives on that.

My first camera when I was very young was a Nikkormat FT body with Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 given to me by my father. I stopped using it for awhile only because the light meter stopped working (I thought the camera was broken and I didn't bother getting it fixed--photography wasn't a true passion back then, just something that was kind of fun. Little did I know that the battery for the light meter had simply died).

I picked photography back up in '04 and continue to push myself with it, enjoying every second of it.
