SEE UPDATES BELOW:

RetiredShip Captain, who has worked all over the place in the past. I occasionally add scanned pictures of earlier times just to keep the 'good old days' alive!. Married, two grown up children and a gorgeous grandaughter.

My wife went through the trauma of breast cancer, after diagnosis 10 years ago (where has the time gone?) but has come out the other side thanks to early detection and a brilliant team of Surgeons, Doctors & Nurses

UPDATE 1.05.09

Didn't get to the US, but now in Angola. We are all out of Nigeria following a serious attack on one of our vessels.

Just feel sorry for those who have to stay and the locals who just want an honest fair living ......

UPDATE 10.11.08

Starting my last trip to Nigeria, and home for Christmas. The Company have sold the vessel, but should get the management contract. In this case, I'll join again in Las Palmas in January for dry dock for a month, then off to the States for three months conversion work. Not sorry to leave this area now! Hopefully my photos will follow my progress!

2nd July 09 Now reassigned to a Seismic Survey vessel presently anchored in Colon, Panama awaiting orders. Pictures to follow as soon as I can get the computer on board to accept them!

15.12.09 : Back operating out of Luanda for a while after the charterers of the last vessel went bust.

22.02.10 :Now doing a relief job on a DSV operating out of Galveston TX. Expect to be back over here on my old vessel early April doing seismic work ....

Update 1st April - Back in Galveston on my old vessel now mobilising for a job in G o M. Nice elderly vessel with good vibes!

Update 22nd June 10:

Still enjoying life on the seismic vessel. We are operating as a gun 'source' vessel, one of four on the project, for a WATS in the US Gulf. 34 people on board, 9 different nationalities and a great atmosphere -( pity the outside world can't get on in the same way...)

Update Nov 10th

Same vessel now working off Trinidad, again as a source vessel for a small survey here. Only 27 POB this time, but still 8 different nationalities ...

August 2011: Apologies for no pictures recently. This has been a combination of a busy lifestyle recently, and the failure of my usb camera lead. I am currently looking for a suitale card reader, but the problem isn't helped that I am now joining another vessel in Belem, Brazil. Hopefully when I get on board, i will find a way of uploading all, or some of my pictures. meanwhile, I shall carry on looking at all of yours!

Now retired and living in Essex. Missing the sea, my collegues and life on board .... but not all the paperwork, meetings , and bulls***t !!

Update!! 24.07.20

Now back up and running after being diagnosed with very early stage Bowel cancer. After and o[ and follow up by a brilliant team at Colchester hospital, I've been given the all clear - fingers crossed. getting on with life!
