Arkwright Engineering Scholarships identify, inspire and nurtures future leaders in engineering and related areas of design. We award Engineering Scholarships through rigorous selection to high-calibre students in year 11 (England and Wales), S4 (Scotland) and year 12 (Northern Ireland) to support them through their 'A' levels or Scottish Highers. Arkwright Scholars are encouraged to go on to study engineering or a related area of design at university, or to take up a high-quality higher apprenticeship; and to pursue a technical career.

An Arkwright Engineering Scholarship consists of an annual financial award to each Scholar and to his/her school, and a range of activities that increase a Scholar's understanding of engineering and the world of work.

We are also able to offers a small number of prestigious undergraduate engineering Scholarships to our exisiting Sixth Form Scholars as they move on to university.

Since the programme began in 1991 we have awarded over 4,700 Scholarships, growing year on year.
