In 2005, 70 volunteers came together for the first Serve the City Big Volunteer week in Brussels. Now Serve the City is in 70 cities! This year we held the 7th annual Brussels Big Volunteer Week from 2-9 July. 200 volunteers representing 18 different countries took time out of their weeks to serve the homeless, asylum seekers, the disabled, and children in need. Projects made use of the gifts and abilities of volunteers in sports, arts, beauty, and practical work.
