I'm a Lego builder originally from Maine but I live in Japan now. I was a lurker in the online Lego community for about 10 years before I started sharing any of my creations, so I've been at this longer than my online presence would suggest. I mostly build sci-fi due to honing my skills in a college dorm, where it wasn't space-efficient to build much else. My influences include 1970's sci-fi concept art, 1990's video games, and of course the many other builders I've encountered online and in person over the years.
