Having grown up in the desert, I have a deep love for the open spaces and off the grid towns of the American West. Photographically, I'm fascinated by the shrapnel of our human existence. I'm drawn to the places and things that get left behind, and I love to imagine the story of the people (if there were any) in my photographs--the characters about to enter or who have just exited the stage. If I had to boil it down, I would say my photography is an attempt to explore the changing reality versus the mythicism and nostalgia of what is classically considered the West.
