My fascination with art began as a youngster where every spare moment was taken up with some form of creative activity.
I spent several years as a freelance artist creating fantasy art with pen and ink. I was then introduced to ‘Encaustic Art’, an art form where a scene is created in hot wax using a small iron for background effects and a soldering iron for detail.
In 1990, I began the ‘Outrageous T-Shirt Co, introducing cartoon characters with captions to a range of items. The demands of the business left little time for other art forms of which I had keen interest. Therefore, in 1998, I opened a studio in Subiaco where I began creating Australian landscapes in pastels. Woodburning and water colours were also explored.
2003 saw the move to Fremantle where I spent 4 years before I finally decided to do it all online. Much of my work has found new homes in places around the globe as tourists buy souvenirs. The contrast and vividness of colours as seen in the Australian land and seascape are truly inspirational and to try and capture such beauty is pure joy.
