I'm an aspiring art quilter who crafts and quilts and blogs when I'm not working. I'm a cell biologist during the day, but usually can't wait to get home to my sewing machine.

My favorite color scheme is bright and I get super excited about all things rainbow.

I'm trying to challenge myself to use more toned down, less frenetic color combinations, and introduce some calm into my work, but so far everything still seems bright!

I love patterns that have lots of movement.

I love contemporary ways to use traditional piecing.

I love seeing the huge variety of creative ideas everyone comes up with that I'd never have thought of.

I love free motion quilting but also the combination of geometric quilting with flowing piecing.

I love bold graphic designs, and high contrast.

Right now especially, I love fall!
