Travelled a bit and been around the block a few times. Now mostly confined to West Sussex, UK. Fascinated by nature. As a birdwatcher I had to put a name to what I saw and that is still in me, but through this art I'm learning to appreciate nature for what it is, rather than for what we call it. Many of my images are accurate facsimiles, but many are not and are not meant to be. I make no apology for that. As I develop as a photographer (capturing, developing and presenting images) I aim to recreate visually what I feel emotionally at the time the shutter clicks. If the key subject matter is sharp, properly exposed, has colours true to the original, is composed according to convention and if labelled then done so correctly, then that is a bonus! More recently, and in complete contrast, Lately, by way of contrast, I've also been shooting steam trains which present a completely different and enjoyable challenge.. I appreciate and invite any corrections, advice and encouragement. Finally, my thanks to those who share their images. whether true representations or artful interpretations.
