I have been riding since I was 16, except between mid 2000 and mid 2005 when I was to ill to ride, somewhat better now although I have to limit how far I go as my I now ride on the sufferance of the DVLA. I worked in the bike trade with Honda and Triumph (Hinckley) parts and always had until a few years ago when after my cancer surgery I ended up working with Ariel,BSA and Triumph (Meriden) parts but the pay was more or less minimum wage so there's never been much money to spend on my bikes, I have to ride and fix on a shoestring which seems to be getting thinner all the time.

I have started this account to show bikes I have, bikes I had (sometimes not the exact ones but similar ones) and bikes I would like or just like the look of. I don't drive by the way, never could get on with cars, well could drive but never could get through the test and don't like being behind a wheel at all. So all year round it's me on my bike, to work mostly, not much spare for petrol for anything else. That's it. hopefully somone will enjoy these.

03/2016

I have a job, starting Wednesday 30/3/2016 I will be working at Draganfly Motorcycles, who do Ariel and BSA spares in the small town of Bungay Suffolk, which is where we lived a few years ago. We're a little further away now but it's main road all the way and ought not to be too bad. I'm doing what I started doing in 1978 when I was 17, picking and packing order, and starting on three hours a day and able to choose my hours and times as I wish, which is what I needed. Fingers crossed that I am up to it, I do hope so.

02/18 Life changes, mine has. It looks like my wife and are on the way to breaking up after 22 years marriage. I intend to stay here if I can, with my shed, and a garage and of course my bikes and most likely our son as he's as fed up with having too many moves in the last few years as I am. Time will tell.

11/18 The financial situation is worse, as now my wife has gone and so I have my wages, some UC and a contribution from my son, but I'm hanging on to my bikes, doing what I can and keeping mobile and just about getting by.

2020. Well they got my heart working right last year eventually but it was a mystery why it went the way it did and this year I find I'm back in AF again so more tests to try to work it out. I got back to work though and am still stronger than I was last year so just being careful but doing as much as I feel safe to do.
