Living in the north country of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan where the seasons are short except winter~ which is very long...5-6 months of the white stuff, so you have to get out and enjoy it! I'm 3rd generation of a small college/mining town on Lake Superior. My family name is traced back to Quebec Canada, La Rochelle France and Stockholm Sweden ...The place I live in (UP of MI.) is rich in history, nature, clean air, largest body of fresh water, lots of trees and glacial rock. The beaches are like a northern paradise of soft sugar sand, clear clean blue water that rest's among sandstone cliffs or mounds of sandstone rock piles...It's breathtaking views of sand water and rock formations are amazing. Truly a place for many artists, photographers and nature lovers. I don't use a lot of fancy cameras and accessories but I have to say digital is fun to manipulate...I have a collection of a few older cameras that I have taken manual shots of Aurora Borealis. I eventually would like to upgrade my digital (Olympus Evolt 300) so I can expand to a higher level like many photographers work I admire esp. with D cameras.. Recently I've been doing HDR work, realizing how much I like the surrealism and feel of the nature intended....I like to look at a picture and feel it.
