I'm a high school science teacher who married a scientist in a nerd-tastic wedding. I love dabbling in all the arts and crafts that I can get my hands on. My current big interest is sewing! I first learned how to use a sewing machine from my seamstress mom when I was in elementary school, but all I ever made were beanbags and pillows. You know, straight lines. Last year, my husband got me a sewing machine for a Christmas present and I've been trying to teach myself to make clothes ever since. Some things are more cobbled together than others, although sewing bloggers have helped so much. I do wish I had my mom here to ask questions of, though!
