I'll endeavour to view (and comment on) other members' photos and photostreams if they comment on mine.
As far as subject matter goes I'm a dabbler - inspiration includes the Aurora, beautiful/strange clouds, rich skies, mountains, stones, wildlife, vegetation . . . don't really do people or architecture. For things that don't move I like to try the occasional 3D version of a view (one camera, two shots from slightly different angles). I have a slightly different take on the world thanks to colour blindness (it's still an amazing place!) - and maybe tend towards shades, shapes and textures.
Apart from a few instamatics my first real camera was my OM-1n and, as long as I can get hold of slide film, I'll use it - it's like an old friend. I also possess an OM-2sp (which rarely gets an outing). Swore I wouldn't go digital until I could afford a 10+ MP DSLR but relented and got a Nikon E5400 in 2000. I moved on in 2007 and am learning the ropes of my new Olympus E-410 and now have an adaptor to use my OM-fit lenses. I'd like to try using ND filters to take long exposures to soften images
My buddy icon is a piece of natural ice sculpture, found during an amazing walk in Corrie Fee, Angus, Scotland
Definitely an amateur!
