China 1985

I began this flickr account to show images I made in a three month journey in China in 1985.

I travelled alone entering through Hong Kong and zig zagged my way to Kashgar returning to Europe by way of Urumqi, Beijing, Moscow and Berlin by train.

I'm an artist and my material is clay and this gave my journey a solid foundation. I took no images of cultural sites as even then there were good postcards.
