Hi, my name is Craig and I'm just an amateur photographer, learning as I go. My personal favorites for shooting are children's events, candids, and child/youth sports because quite frankly, in my opinion, there's just nothing quite like kids' expressions and smiles. I'm hoping to add portraits to the list some day.

I have some simple rules about contacts:

1) I don't usually put out contact requests. For the most part, I let others decide first if they would like to be contacts, friends or family. I also like getting a flickr mail to introduce yourself. I follow those photostreams with similar interests in photography and those from which I think I can learn (I'm sure most flickr users do the same). I didn't join flickr to see who can collect the most contacts. I've made some good friends on flickr and enjoy their comments and friendly banter. This is what I am looking for from being on flickr.

2) I only follow streams that are active. I don't consider throwing up a picture or two every 4 to 6 months as being an active stream.

3) Streams containing no photos, photos taken from net, other users, or other sites will be ignored. You can follow me if you want to, but don't expect me to reciprocate.

4) I have absolutely no problems with natural nudes and artistic nudes. Some that I've seen on flickr are masterfully done. However, we all know that there's a huge difference between natural/artistic nudes and pornography/sexual content. My photostream is family friendly, so if you have photos containing sexual/adult content in your photostream or favourites, I won't add you as a contact and if you add any of my photos to your favourites list, I'll remove it. Also, I have no nude photos in my stream hidden under "friends" or "family". That should save some people a bit of time.

5) Lately, I have had a lot of people ask to be friends or friends and family which I have accepted, only to find out that after a short while they've dropped me to just following. Maybe they're just trying to get a peek at my more private pictures and don't see what they like; but for whatever reason, if this happens, I will permanently block the individual. I'm getting tired of this BS. As I've stated above, I don't have nudes or any sexual content in my photostream hidden under friends or family.

I think that about covers it. I'm sorry to have to be this way about contacts but some people just spoil things for others. A friend once said: "It's your stream, your rules." I guess I'll have to just follow his advice.
