Hi, I'm Mike and I've been a flickr member for a year or so and still addicted to this. :-) I'm still just "finding myself" and the space in which I occupy as a novice photographer. I got a little Cannon ELPH SureShot110 for Christmas about 4 years ago and have had opportunity in the past two years to use a Sony CyberShot, which I prefered (obviously) and realized that I wanted a higher quality camera. Since then I've been lucky enough to have rec'd as a gift a Fugifilm FinePix f6000. I just love taking pictures and study other pictures to find out what exactly my tastes are. I have not had any formal trianing, so any feedback in the vein would be appreciated. However, on the flip-side this formal training relieves me of labels and convention - so I get to be a free spirit in that sense.

Testimonials
I so enjoy parusing Mikey's photostream. He has such an eye for details that one would miss in passing. As Chris said, it's enviable. If this is what he considers his amateur work I can't wait to see how he grows!!
I take a lot of pictures while I'm traipsing around with Mikey. Somehow he seems to catch little details that completely amaze me. I'm secretly and consistently envious of his eye for unique images, particularly amidst the grit, dirt and rust brought on by time, wear and tear.
