Hmm what do you want to know?

I'm here because photography is my hobby and because I just LOVE to see other people's work and get inspired by it. A year ago i bought myself a nice DSLR and I really want to get better at it. So I always appreciate comments, also if you have something negative to say.

What I love most about photography is serendipity. Suddenly a random shot of nothing turns out to be great or you find something very special in a place where you didn't expect it.

On the other hand, my biggest challenge is that sometimes you (or just I :)) find great sights and the picture turns disappointing. Or you recognize that there are some disturbing items on the picture or that the perspective is off in hindsight. But hey, life would be boring without challenges, don't you think so?

I also love to find out more and more about the possibilities in Photoshop even though I don't use them so heavily. In my eyes, in most cases the result is more important than the way you got there, so I don't care extremely much about manipulated pictures. But I think it's always interesting to know if a picture was made over and in what way and I think an artist shouldn't hide that.

I like the groups here and I have absolutely nothing against the awards and glimmery comments stuff. It's just that in my eyes it's much more personal to write some words yourself than to just copy/paste an icon, so I hope the group admins don't care too much when I sometimes forget to use the group specific comment code.

When I recieve comments and faves, I always try to visit the person who gave it to check their photo stream. Not that I recieve so much I can't handle it but sometimes I'm a bit lazy *blushes* :)
