What is an umbraphile, you may well ask?
I do love my lighting umbrella but that's not it. Umbraphilia is the desire to stand in the shadow of the moon. Roughly every 18 months, somewhere on Earth, the moon passes in front of the sun for about two to three minutes creating a total solar eclipse. I have been fortunate enough to have stood in the moon's shadow for fifteen minutes and fourteen seconds. There is no heavenly phenomena more spectacular and everyone should try and see one at least once in their life.
I also have a presence on Picasa and you'll find pictures from my various eclipse trips there: http://picasaweb.google.com/keechma
