Established as a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Government of Botswana, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and The Merck Foundation (TMF) using a proposal-driven strategy, ACHAP provided financial and technical support to the Government of Botswana, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and the private sector. As a non-profit making corporation, ACHAP has now transitioned into an independent entity with a broader health mandate, wider geographical focus continuing to build on, and leverage on her core competencies in the field of HIV/AIDS and related health conditions.
