When I was a boy I listened to the radio a lot. I was present at the creation of Top 40 radio. Believe me, it was the blow that will getcha. All music, all rock and roll, all the time. Back then when Rock was in its infancy the musical mix was more diverse. The Dixieland rage was blazing on college campuses. A surprising number of college bands put out their own LPs. Big Band was still glowing embers. The male quartet was at its apogee. And schmaltz was as always schmaltz but some pretty gold schmaltz.

Rhythm and Blues had the vigor of youth while Country music which influenced me most was as it would never be again. Some highs can't be topped.

When I think I think in terms of songs. When I snap the camera it is always to a medley of tunes in my mind. I hope my shots are pictures set to music, the soundtrack of my life. That is my hope.

That is my thought as I write. Perhaps I will add more from time to time.
