Hmmmmm, which parts to describe? Maybe I'll just change them periodically to try and cover a few facets :)

Right now I am really excited to find other orchid fanatics on here. I have been growing orchids for decades (*ouch*) and lately my focus is developing cold-growing strains for zone 8 - 9 type conditions here in Ireland. I am basing this around a few keystone species, and crossing in a range of more tropical relatives. The principal groups are the arethusinae /bletinae and cyrtopodinae. It's not so easy finding the right species here, so I am very keen to hear from other growers who would like to exchange pollen and / or seeds.

Otherwise, I am working on greening of cities, sustainability in general, and development of "Living Technologies" and living design. This involves green roofs, biodigesters, biochar, living walls...various ways in which we can collaborate with natural organisms and natural systems to provide the sorts of services we now use engineering to deliver.
