Hello

I am a hobby photographer who is still discovering a lot about photography. In the past I mainly used to take pictures during holidays, but now that evrything is digital that has changed. Among my favourite subjects are our cats. They are wonderful subjects and they are always around. I have become very fond of my macro lens, which allows me to portray the world close-up. Flowers, bugs, butterflies, they all make wonderful subjects.

I used to work as an English teacher, but I am now in early retirement. Together with the housekeeping and taking care of what's left of the family, that leaves me plenty of time for shooting.

My earlier pictures were taken with Olympus cameras, an E-1, an E-3 and a C-5050 compact. At the beginning of 2012 I switched to a Canon 7D coupled with a 50mm/1.4, a 100mm/2.8 macro, a 15-85 walk-about zoom, and a 70-200 F4 / L and a Canon flash. The more recent addition is a Panasonic FZ-1000 bridge camera, for those days on which I don't want carry a lot of equipment, which are increasing.

I own the copyright to all the images in my Photostream. Do not use any of my pictures without prior permission. Please contact me if you wish to use any of my pictures in whatever kind of publication.

Feel free to add me as a contact and browse my photostream. I will not automatically add you as a contact too, as I want to keep my contacts manageable. Contacts that merely send me invitations to boost their own image views will be blocked.
