Hello and welcome to my photostream. I have been a life long fan of railways since my trips to Sheffield as a child. in the very late seventies, when I was old enough to be let loose by my parents, I developed a deeper interest. During this time the Class 58 was under development with the release of 58001 finally occuring in December 1982. I was lucky to see many of the class being built at Doncaster and have followed them ever since. I was a member of the original Class 58 Locomotive Group and was an early member of the current Class 58 Locomotive Group and became Vice Chairman of the group for a period of time and have helped out with work restoring 58016. Other Railway interests include Class 20, 37, 47, 56 and dare I say it Class 70! Outside of the railway I enjoy Gardening, Blackpool Trams and railway modelling in the late 1980's early 1990's period. I have recently started a small portable layout which will be my first layout but also continue to repaint, detail and weather my stock which is my main passion.
I hope you enjoy my photo's and if you would like to use any that you feel are good enough to be reproduced or published please respect my rights and contact me first.
If you require any information on the Class 58's again please contact me and don't forget to look at the Class 58 Locomotive Group's website at www.c58lg.co.uk , better still send a donation or join the group and help the restoration of 58016.
