Right, first things second, as it were. Please note the following.

This account ONLY covers ladies’ raincoats.

If you wish to become, or to remain a ‘follower’ in Flickr newspeak:-

1. Have at least some ladies’ rainwear pictures in your photo stream,

2. Do NOT have too many photos of heavy rubber and the gas masks that I hate to see ruining photos,

3. Do NOT have a Flickr ‘camera’ icon,

4. Do NOT include pictures of 'below-the-waist' activity, i.e. NO visible genitals,

5. Do NOT make a picture a favourite if you are not a follower,

6. As a follower, if you make a picture a favourite ALWAYS leave a comment.

Any infringement of these basic rules WILL result in me blocking further contact.

The majority of the pictures in this rainwear series were gleaned from various internet sources over a long period and only rarely have I copied pictures direct from the photostream of another Flickr member. I have given credit where the provenance is known but many remain unattributed. If you own the copyright to any of the photos and would like to have accreditation added or amended please let me know. Further, upon request, I will oblige any rightful owner by deleting their photos without hesitation.

Then we come to me, and what makes me tick.

I was born in one of the South Wales Valleys on 22/08/1947 which really makes me pretty ancient, but I feel like a new-born babe:- no hair, no teeth, can’t walk and I think I’ve just wet my pants !

Retired now, I live in Turkey most of the time, but “hiraeth”, that indefinable longing for the homeland, together with a devotion to both Cricket and Rugby, neither of which is played here, result in periodic returns to Wales.

Since 1971 I’ve been blessed with a wife who takes all of my foibles in her stride, and even though she tells me that her various rubber macs, catsuits, knickers and nighties don’t give her as much pleasure as I obviously find in them, it is noticeable that she frequently wears them of her own volition rather than a dutiful response to any request of mine.

Rainwear is, of necessity, a perennial preoccupation in Wales while protection from the rain is scarcely needed during the long Turkish summers, where showers are rare and the roof of the nearest bar always provides adequate shelter. As seems to be the case with most, my fascination with and adulation for rubberised rainwear and the ladies who wore it was a product of my early years, but over time this extended to encompass rainwear of all sorts just for the way it looks on a woman, and is reflected in the diversity of my rainwear accounts, some recently renamed or reorganised, which can be found at:-

As if the raincoats that ladies wear, or wore, weren’t enough to distract me, I also have a yearning to both look at and, with my wife’s happy agreement, occasionally wear some of the items that those same ladies are likely to wear below their raincoats and other clothing.

It was known as ‘corsetry’ at first, then 'unmentionables' progressing to ‘foundation garments’ before settling on today’s ‘intimates’. But, a rose by any other name . . . .

If you share my interest in ladies’ underwear, why not take a look at:-

No less than thirteen further photostreams are listed in that account’s profile.

My love of tight-fitting or loosely flowing latex garments of a feminine and boudoir nature was a natural corollary to rubberised rainwear, though a far more expensive sideline.

While I find heavy rubber and gas masks a huge turn-off, the sight of women wearing couture latex grab my attention every time so I have set up seven photo streams covering this subject, three for catsuits, three for dresses and costumes, with the most recent featuring latex underwear.

The profile for Latecs Tynn Gosod (which is ‘Tight Fitting Latex’ in my native tongue) gives details of all of these and can be found at: - flickr.com/photos/gwmpesir

Accounts covering rubber swim caps, another foible of mine can be found at in the profile of 50 Lengths, flickr.com/photos/neifion/ while photo streams putting a slightly different slant to photos of ladies smoking is displayed in the profile of Ar Ei Gwefus (On Her Lip) at flickr.com/photos/bochau/.

So, that’s about it, apart from further, imaginary projects which I won’t go into yet.
