A licensed landscape architect in Fla for the last 25 years with a BS degree from LSU'S School of Environmental Design. He was born in Baton Rouge, went thru the school system there including a 5 yr stint at LSU. After service in the US
Army Reserve's School for combat engineers he worked in Cleveland Ohio for seven years in both the public and private sector as the Head of Design for the Cleveland Metropolitan Park System and several private firms.
From Ohio he went to Canberra Australia to accept a job as the first Principal Landscape Architect for the fledgeling National Capitol Development Corporation which was just beginning the arduous task of planning and building a modern Canberra.
He worked in that capacity for ten years and played a key role in the planning and development of the 4 new satellite cities in the famed Canberra Y plan for long term regional expansion. Kent wrote a book about his experiences that focused on how the largest of these satellite cities (Tuggeranong) was planned and built.
Since then he has maintained a practice on St. George Island Fla working with developers and local govt on a wide array of projects.
