Canadian Contribution Training Mission - Afghanistan (CCTM-A) is the Canadian Forces contribution to the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan. CCTM-A consists of approximately 920 Canadian Forces personnel who advise Afghan National Security Force trainers and leaders at training institutions in Kabul, in Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan and in Herat in western Afghanistan. The operation also includes Canadian Forces staff officers and support personnel who serve in various camps and headquarters located in the Kabul area. The mission's mandate extends to 2014.
