I use a full frame DSLR with a 16-35mm wide angle zoom and a 70-200mm telephoto zoom. I also use a 24-105mm which is good for aerials or anytime that I have to work fast and don't have time to change lenses. The other two lenses that I own are a 180 macro and a 500mm telephoto. I only carry these for special situations, such as when I need a 1:1 close up or if I plan to photograph wildlife. I use a medium weight carbon fiber tripod with a ball head. I use the Singh-Ray graduated neutral density filters to control contrast and sometimes use a polarizing filter. The other piece of equipment that I use a lot is a handheld GPS for the sun and moon data, altimeter, atmospheric pressure and compass. I keep the camera set at ISO 100, f11 and aperture priority. I've found that if I shoot with these settings I can enlarge to 20x30 inches with excellent results and far better than the quality I got shooting 35mm film.
