I'm finally pursuing an interest in photography that I've had since I was a little girl. I was using a point and shoot until December 2010, when I got my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D3100 - what I continue to use. Since that time, I've been actively studying photography through self-study, camera clubs, classes, workshops and all can be learned using Flickr and other on-line resources. The photography community is wonderful for all the knowledge that is freely shared.

I'm slowly gaining my identity as a photographer. Around the same time I got my camera, I began traveling as much as possible. Of course these two interests make a great pair! In addition to travel photography, I particularly enjoy shooting ature and wildlife. The camera encourages me to get into the outdoors. Since I live and work in the city/suburbia, I like capturing what is around me, as well.

I truly enjoy the process of envisioning, taking, and processing an image, and I'm motivated by seeing ongoing improvement in my understanding of photography and results of my work. I welcome any comments and critiques that will help me improve my photographs and skills.
