On the anysoldier.com site you can read some of the soldiers' request emails and thank you emails to people who have sent them packages. It is a eye-opening first person account as to their living conditions day to day.

Click on the "Where to Send" box at the top of the page on the toolbar. On the next page there is a dropdown list to change the way the listed names can be viewed. Click on any name and read their emails to the right.

 

If you cannot volunteer or send a care package or letter, even donating a few dollars a month is better than nothing.
