I have been doing photography for a few years now and I have reached the point where I want to take it to the next level. My background is in video, but a photography class I took back in college got me started. Since then I have been working to improve my skills and eye for capturing the moment. I feel like I have reached the point where I want to take this from a hobby to my full time job. I know that it's not going to be easy, but I am doing what I can to make this a reality. I am to the point where I am getting a few paying gigs and I hope to keep increasing the amount of shoots I do. I have found that I want to focus on weddings, there is just something about weddings that draw me to them. I have found that I am sometimes too wrapped up in the technical aspects of taking photos; I need to improve my people and communication skills. I have also come to the realization that I don't know much about running a business. I am constantly working to improve on the things I struggle with, and push my photography to new levels.
