Welcome. Thanks for visiting.

Why "Slow to Upload"? For me, shooting pictures is more enjoyable than displaying them; I have a large backlog of "unseen" images, film and digital. Also, I am basically a procrastinator. And, I don't know if I'll have enough time to maintain this Flickr account properly. (Let's see how things go.)

About blocking: Some Flickr members enjoy blocking other members. I am convinced of that. I hate the idea of blocking you or anyone else. If your buddy icon is a square gray face, or, if you have no uploads in your photostream, why should I care? Why should I be angry if you "favorite" my pictures or add comments? Blocking should be for SERIOUS offenses; especially, posting inappropriate comments or using pictures without permission. But if you have no pictures, maybe you should shoot some and upload them. Try it, you might have FUN!

About comments: You are VERY welcome to add comments to my pictures. Please respect other members. Please respect the people in my pictures. (A gentleman who posts a comment in my photostream will NEVER describe physical things he desires to do to someone.)

About Flickr groups: I prefer to add my pictures to "safe" groups, if I am invited, but not to "restricted" or “moderate” groups. I am not a prude, but I don’t want to see “This group is only available to people who are signed in” or “This group falls outside your current SafeSearch filter” when a group has an apparently "safe" name or theme. If you believe that a “restricted” or “moderate” filter can attract more pictures to your group, you might be right. Or not. Also, some group names turn me off; for example, anything with "HOT" to refer to women. And, I don't like groups that have row after row of pictures from the same person.

No more new pictures? You decide: If I see unauthorized use of my pictures -- any use without my permission -- my public uploading will stop. So, to the "webfind" specialists who enjoy seeing my pictures: Don't steal them; contact me for permission, and in the future you can see more. (Of course, if you appear in a picture I've uploaded, you'll automatically get my permission. A quick message of acknowledgement from you would be nice.) Let's be serious: People can "favorite" my pictures, or link to them, or download them for their personal viewing; aren't those enough options? My pictures are not pro-quality, but apparently that does not matter to members who have photostreams of all, or almost all, webfinds that were "harvested" from anywhere and everywhere. Those pictures bore me. I have no interest in them at all. It's not a good sign, when some Flickr members have no idea where or when their uploads were shot. (Old photos that have been discovered and rescued are a totally different matter.)

Enough of the serious stuff. Thanks for reading! Please enjoy my pictures.
