We live in Berkeley, California, two (now retired) mechanical engineers with Fine Arts backgrounds. We've been here since 1967.

I (JHK) take very few photographs these days and discontinued our Pro account, deleting tens-of-thousands of photographs. I have NOT Unfollowed those flickrers whose work I find interesting, and those with whom I sense shared interests and sensibilities.

In the past couple of years I've added many graphic artists to my list of contacts, While not considering myself an Artist in the usual sense for some time, my fascination and appreciation of the painters, illustrators, collagists, and sculptors here is undiminished.

As you can see, I practice 'the 9th Art', drawing cartoons, gag (or single panel) cartoons in fact;. My humor is on the dry side, and often so obscure that only a few seem to find the humor - But when they do, that's everything for me.

We all want to be seen, be noticed. Well, if you share your work, I will see and notice. We all love comments, and I am not that reluctant to offer mine when something stirs me.
