Retired. Photographic interests are London, buildings, wildlife and steam engines.

Wish I could take better pictures so focus on interesting subjects.

The first camera I bought was an Ilford Sportsman 4 (1964). My first SLR was a Vivitar (1989) but the need to take photos of a fast moving daughter caused me to buy a Pentax 105 AF. My first Nikon was in 1999 (F70) and I also had an F65 and an F80. Could never quite choose my favourite between the three - the F70 had the best viewfinder, the F65 the lightest and the F80 the best camera (excluding viewfinder).

Digital excursions so far Konoica Minolta Z10, Canon S5is, Fuji F70, Panasonic TZ10, Nikon D50, Nikon D90 followed by the D7000. In January 2014 I moved on the to the D610, which is about as far as I'm likely to go.

The D90 was great and the D7000 a bit better. While not being up to those high standrds I thought the Canon S5 was very good and a bit more portable. I now have an Olympus OMD-EM-10. This offers a bit less weight and is more portable than the D610.

I've now added the DD7200 which I use often with a 300 f4 VR.
