I am Scottish and very happily married to Erica who lived in California (we met online!) We now live mostly in a little town near Glasgow, called Renfrew, but still have a foothold in Walnut Creek, CA.

By profession, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, but now retired, my hobbies were watercolour painting, making miniature furniture (and writing about it in a magazine) and philately. Somehow, after moving to a new apartment, I don't seem to have time to spare for these activities as assembling full-size furniture takes most of my time - just call me "the flat-pack king"!
