Jason V Roberts is a Brooklyn born Painter and Graphic Designer. His distressed weathered paintings address social political and economic issues as well as the complexities of relationships. He combines lyrical shapes and color streams along with numerical factors that represent deep spiritual meaning. He also uses the silhouettes of birds as a reoccurring theme in his work. The Artist sees the bird as a universal symbol of life that connects us all no matter our cultural differences. His subtractive recessive techniques allow his work to escape what is conventionally seen as beautiful or complete. He is able to communicate something shattered yet graceful, something fragile yet strong. The Artist spends most of his time in his Brooklyn studio creating and studying the very things that inspire him.
