This profile is about the worn down shoes and heels, notably on the wear down of the soles and heel, the part that hits the road. These posted shoes tend to be worn down to nearly nothing, sometimes just to see how far they will go, repaired and sometimes worn down a little more. I sometimes take them on travels they weren't indented to in order to see how they hold up or what they are like as they wear down, while other times I will push the shoes to the breaking point to see where that is. I'm interested in seeing similar stories too. I believe shoes should be worn completely out before being retired or trashed in part to reduce non-biodegradable material from being littered in landfills. The natural worn look also adds to unique personality of a person and it promotes less trash in society. Wearing heels of any type down to a nub or soles to the ground and patch the soles a few times before you let them go. For me, you'll see me post a lot on Plastic Soles and Plastic Heels.
