Loving flickr. My photography is definitely improving. I've always had a good sense for composition. I just need to work on the lighting aspect of my photography; after all photography is all about lighting. I've bought a Canon 1000d (Rebel XS) for a really good price. Once I get my Canon 50mm f1.4 USM, I'll be able to focus on taking portraits which is what I like most. Along with my Sony Alpha A230 + Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, I've got my basics covered. As much as I like new technology, I'd rather have a basic camera with a very good lens. I can't understand why some people get the latest camera only to match it up with an average lens :/

I probably wouldn't have gotten into photography if I didn't spend the last few years traveling. I've since outgrown my P&S cameras as I'm becoming particular about the quality of my photos. I still take snapshots, but I'm trying to achieve an artist quality these days.
