Alex is my kind of artist, brave, committed, experimental, a wonderfully gestural painter, who also moves with ease in the world of video art, mixing his art with his commentary, and photographic images and filmic pieces. Alex is an artist who conjures up the essence of self reflection by allowing you to step back and view different subject matters through his own vision. His work tends to leave you with a feeling of familiar memories that cause you to believe, “I’ve been there, I’ve seen that, I’ve felt that or I remember that.” Humorous, moody, contemplative and even scary are just a few words that might describe his thinking. Definitely worth a look. facecrunch
