Lifelong Engineer in the Aircraft industry. I drove Steam trains at weekends having been involved in Railway preservation for over 20 years. (hence the tag) Also a UKA Technical official.

My son (also in the picture) is the video cameraman whose handiwork can be seen on YouTube under the same tag.

Update .... In August 2014 I hung up my Grease Top after 21 years on the footplate to concentrate on my voluntary work with UK Athletics and other things.

Update.... Post Retirement in 2021 I have cut back my activities with UKA.
