Artist Biography

Gore's interest in photography was sparked by her father, a graphic artist and avid photographer himself. Now living in Tucson Arizona. She received her first camera at the age of 6 and proceeded to document her family and friends and has never stopped photographing. She has a B F A from the University of Arizona in art communications and a Master's Degree in film from California Institute of the Arts.

Throughout high school and college, she was a high diver and came to California to be part of the U. S. High diving Team, performing in shows at Magic Mountain and around the world. She photographed the team frequently for publicity shots and was a freelance photographer for the Santa Clarita Signal and The Mountain Enterprise. It was her love of movement, action, and photography all came together to forge her interest in film. After graduating from California Institute of the Arts she worked in Hollywood on many motion pictures, TV shows, commercials, and music videos.

Today, working in clay, glass, fabric arts and photography she feels as though she has been brought back to her original love of movement and form. She refers to her work as being driven by interpreting and freezing moments in time. Her photography is driven with an emphasis on dramatic color and light. Locally her work has been shown at Bakersfield Museum, The Younger Gallery, Arts for Earth Gallery, Work of Heart Gallery, Silver Lining, The Micro Gallery and The Ranch House. In addition, Abbe competes and has won photo competitions online and has been featured artist on numerous websites.
